While at West Valley, Jono led the Vikings to a 25-6 record his sophomore season and an appearance in the sweet-16 of the state tournament ... Jono averaged 18 points, three rebounds and three assists per game and set a West Valley record with 124 three-point goals made ... He was a unanimous All-League selection, earned honorable-mention all-state honors, was named his team MVP and the Safeway Classic Tournament MVP ... Jono was also a Dean's List student while at West Valley.

High School	High School: Jono attended Bishop O'Dowd HS in Oakland, California, where he participated in basketball, football and golf ... Jono led the Dragons to an 18-0 league record his senior season and was named the Hayward Area Athletic League MVP ... Jono averaged 14 points, four rebounds and three assists per game as a senior, set the record for three-point baskets made at Bishop O'Dowd and led the East Bay in three-point baskets made ... Both his senior and junior seasons, O'Dowd finished as North Coast Sectional finalists.

Jono has good quickness, shoots the ball well, has great range and just fits into the team very well. He is the kind of player that says what he thinks, has good leadership, but also doesn't make people mad. The biggest key for him is making the adjustment to improve all of his game instead of merely worrying about shooting. He has the capability of starting at two-guard and could also come off the bench and provide a spark.”
