Trimaine Davis Signs NLI With San Diego State

San Diego State head coach Steve Fisher announced that Trimaine Davis, a 6-8, 215 pound forward from Pittsburg HS, has signed a national letter of intent to enroll at San Diego State University and play basketball for the Aztecs next season.

Davis, who chose San Diego State over Arizona State, Kansas State, and Washington State, averaged 20.6 points, 14.7 rebounds and 5.7 blocks for Pittsburg High last season as a senior.  The forward was named most valuable player of the Bay Valley Athletic League and earned first-team honors on the San Francisco Chronicle all-metro boys squad this past season.  He was also selected to the NorCalPreps.com All-NorCal third team.  Davis led his team to a 24-2 regular-season record and a co-Bay Valley Athletic League Championship.

"Trimaine is a strong forward who is very athletic," Fisher said.  "We believe he is one of the top high school players in California.   he is a very enjoyable young may off the court who plays with tremendous effort on the court."

"A strong post player, Trimaine gets off the floor extremely fast and has the ability not only to get to the basket, but to finish.  He has the ability to put the ball on the court and plays with tremendous enthusiasm."
