Bonner Chooses Chico State

The men's basketball team has announced that Will Bonner, a 6'7" forward/center from Bishop O'Dowd High School in Oakland has signed a letter of intent to play for the Wildcats next season.  One of the NorCal Prep's Top 20 Seniors, Bonner averaged 11.1 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks per game while leading Bishop O'Dowd to a league title and 23-5 overall record.  "We are very excited about Will Bonner's commitment to become a student athlete at Chico State University," said Smith.   "We consider Will to be a player who can make an immediate impact on our program and has the size and strength to be a significant player in our conference as a freshman.  We are confident that he will help our program move toward a future of excellence in the CCAA."

Bonner plans to major in computer science.
