Ron Selleaze Named Player
of the Year

Selleaze gets CCAA honor: Oakland-born Ron Selleaze, who starred at San Lorenzo High and is now a senior guard for Cal State Bakersfield, has been named the California Collegiate Athletic Association Player of the Year. Selleaze was named to the first-team all-district team last week by the National Association of Basketball Coaches. He led the conference in scoring at 20.8 points per game and finished in the top 10 in the CCA in steals (third), 3-pointer percentage (fifth), 3-pointers made (sixth), field goal percentage (seventh), free-throw percentage (seventh), rebounding (eighth) and assists (ninth).
