Antonae Roberson Roberson Gets Attention

Although he is a bit undersized in terms of height, San Jose City College forward Antonae Roberson knows how to put the ball in the basket. As a result, the Jaguar sophomore is receiving mid-high D-I looks this winter, according to San Jose Head Coach Percy Carr.Antonae Roberson, a 6-5, 230 pound power forward from San Jose City College in San Jose, Calif., has drawn interest from several Division I programs this winter.

According to Jaguars Head Coach Percy Carr, Oregon, San Jose State, Wisconsin, Xavier and San Francisco have come out to evaluate Roberson this season.

Roberson lacks ideal height for a power forward, but what he lacks in height, he makes up for in offensive skills and smarts. Simply put, he knows how to use his burly frame to establish position and score in the key. He also has range out to the three point arc, but does most of his damage in close where he can score and/or draw fouls.

As a freshman last season at San Jose, Roberson averaged 15 points and seven rebounds per game. This season, he has bumped those numbers up to 22 points and 10 rebounds per contest, according to Carr.

Carr said he expects Roberson to graduate in the spring.
