Eddie House Re Signs
with Miami

ASU's career-leading scorer has played in 114 games in two-year career.

Miami HEAT President and Head Coach Pat Riley announced today that the club has re-signed Arizona State guard Eddie House. As per club policy, terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

House, a 6'1", 180-pound guard, has averaged 6.7 points, 1.5 assists, 1.3 rebounds and 15.6 minutes in 114 games during his two-year career, all of which has been spent in Miami. A second-round draft choice of the HEAT in the 2000 NBA Draft (37th overall), he is a career 40.6 percent (313-771) shooter from the floor, a 34.4 percent shooter (73-212) from three-point range and has connected on 78.6 percent (66-84) of his free throw attempts. House has scored in double figures on 32 occasions, including five games of at least 20 points. He scored a career-high 28 points off the bench against Orlando on Apr. 12, 2002, one shy of the franchise single-game record for points off the bench.

House appeared in 64 games last season, making three starts. He averaged 8.0 points, 1.9 assists, 1.7 rebounds and 19.2 minutes while shooting 39.9 percent (209-524) from the floor, 34.4 percent (54-157) from three-point range and 85.7 percent (42-49) from the foul line. He scored in double figures 22 times and ranked second on the team in both three-point field goals made (54) and three-point field goals attempted (157). House scored 20 or more points on four occasions in 2001-02, including three times in the final eight contests. He led the HEAT in scoring five times, including his career-high 28-point effort against the Magic on Apr. 12. His 16-point fourth quarter output against Orlando on Apr. 12, in Miami's 99-94 victory, was a quarter high for a HEAT player last season.

During his career he has appeared in three postseason contests where he has averaged 12.7 points, 1.7 assists, 1.7 rebounds and 21.3 minutes while connecting on 40 percent of his field goal attempts, 28.6 percent of his three-point attempts and 80 percent of his free throw attempts.
