MAGIC RUNNER-UP IN LAS VEGAS

Last week at the 26 th annual “Las Vegas Summer Classic”, the NorCal Magic finished in second place being defeated by Las Vegas Select in overtime at the buzzer, 80 to 77.

This basketball Tournament featured some of the top players on the west coast. To get to the finals the Magic -

	Defeated the Utah Stars 72 – 71
	Beat the San Diego Rebels 82—61
	Edged Blue Steel 60—58; and,
	Won over West Orange County 67—51

Magic Players Chris Green (Castlemont) and Keena Payton (Skyline ) were named to the All Tournament team. Other Magic players that played outstanding were Darrius Parker (Oakland High), Robert Porter ( Bishop Gorman-Las Vegas), Mike McWilliams (Mojave High-Las Vegas), Levar Halsell (San Leandro High), Jonathan Wallace (Emery) and Jeff Rogers ( James Logan). Other Magic players were Chris Busch (San Leandro), Shane Izard (St. Joseph’s), and Jabari Davis (San Leandro).
