Nate Robinson

Former NorCal Magic MVP Nate Robinson, now playing for Rainer Beach HS in Seattle, Washington is chosen our Athlete of the Month. 

March - April 2002

Robinson has led his school to the division 3A State Championship.  He was named MVP. Recently Nate also committed to the University of Washington on a football scholarship but will also play basketball.

As a member of the Magic last season while attending James Logan of Union City, Robinson led the team to the Championship at the 36th Annual Bushrod Easter Tournament where he was named MVP.   Robinson also led the Magic against the Soldiers in the S N J finals. For his efforts he was named co-MVP with Trimaine Davis (Pittsburg HS—San Diego State Univ.)

 

Rainier Beach Rolls to Third State Title

TACOMA — Rainier Beach strengthened its bid to be considered one of the best teams in state history and won the Class 3A boys state championship last night with an impressive 67-51 victory over Mercer Island.

Tournament MVP Nate Robinson and Rodrick Stewart each scored 19 points in the win and Lodrick Stewart, Rodrick's twin, scored 15.     more.....

Nate Robinson Chooses Washington

Nate Robinson, the ultra gifted two-sport athlete from Rainier Beach H.S. in Seattle, Wash., told us he committed to Washington.

"I just felt comfortable being in this area," Robinson said. "I also considered USC, Tennessee, North Carolina, Arizona and Arizona State."

Robinson will sign a letter of intent on February 6th, football signing day. "I think I can come in and help the basketball team out right away," Robinson said. "It's going to be nice to play in front of my family and friends."   more.....
