JABARI STEPS UP

Oakland High’s Jabari Davis has emerged as the top power forward in the City, in our opinion. As a freshman he played at San Leandro. As a sophomore he attended Pinole Valley. His Jr. year he comes back home.

Jabari played with us as a freshman and we always knew it was just a matter of time - he was athletic, quick & tough in the paint. Now 3 years later, Jabari has all the low post moves and can get to the basket with authority. He can also hit the mid range jumper, has good penetration moves to the basket and can finish. Jabari finished the season averaging 19 pts and 12 rebounds per game. He was also in the top 5 in scoring in the City - no other forward/center was in the top 8. As member of the NorCal Magic, Jabari was our top scoring Jr. We are expecting big things from Jabari at the Nike Summer Classic National Championships, July 26 thru 31. Projection: Low to Hi Mid, D1. At 6’6 Jabari could be a steal for a good D 1 program. He can play 3 or 4 and is a top defender & shot blocker. Of course he made the All City & All Metro Teams.
