Damon Stoudamire’s President’s Day Tournament in Portland , Oregon

In the 3rd grade division, Team California (Adidas). (9 & under)  formerly called Bobby Jackson’s Basketball Town Pharaohs of Sacramento won the Tournament.  This is the same team that ESPN the magazine did an article on last year in Memphis called “On  The Road To Wherever  or  “Pharaohs To Memphis on HopeHouse Sports website,  click on Athlete of the Month.

Team California  defeated Rotary Style of Seattle twice and posted wins over Inner City of Portlad and Rainer Vista of Tacoma , Washington .  JUSTICE SHELTON- MOSLEY was named MVP and DEVIN GREENE, JASON HOPE and NOAH BLACKWELL all made the ALL TOURNAMENT TEAM.DANTE HENSLEY, JORDAN ROBERSON, DeANDRE STALLINGS and DONOVAN VERNON, round out the squad. Coaches Rod Greene and Mickey Hope. Playing in the Hadnot Foundation Tournament this weekend , in round 1 Team California (9 and under)  defeated  Team California (8 and under) 36-18.  Then they beat  the highly ranked Anaheim Aces ( Orange County ) 36-26.  In the finals they beat the Oakland Runnin Rebels 53-21.  No Individual awards were given.  Up next in April Fontana, Calif and Houston , Texas (the Kingwood Classic).
